Abortion is already performed on unborn children through all 9 months of pregnancy in New York because of Roe vs. Wade. Over 40,000 abortions are paid by New York taxpayers each year-by far the worst record nationwide. New York City is known as the "Abortion Capitol of America", and pregnant teens are brought to NY to circumvent parental notification laws in other states. Governor Spitzer's NARAL-backed agenda must not be allowed to erase the few laws left on the books in New York that recognize the humanity of unborn children! We strongly oppose this bill and ask you to strike the enacting clause, thus killing the bill for the remainder of this 2007-2008 session.
